Randy and I took a 17-day cruise through the Panama Canal. We were gone a total of three weeks from September 18 to October 9, 2014 having spent two days beforehand in Vancouver and two days afterward in Miami. Several cruise passengers started in Alaska.
A year ago - coming back from Montreal/Quebec City and along the St. Lawrence to Cacouna, Canada (the land of my heritage. See my website: www.FrenchCandianAncestors.weebly.com) and returning from Randy's high school reunion in Washington D.C. - we voluntarily gave up our seats at the Dallas airport and received a total of $600 in credit vouchers due to overbooking. We used the vouchers for domestic travel and baggage on these cruise-related flights.
We had TSA pre-check status in both Vancouver and Miami which made the boarding process more pleasant with no need to remove shoes or running laptops through x-ray.
