The evening of our anniversary this poster was delivered to our door, as well as two "congratulations" balloons and a greeting card.
Coincidentally, the first of three formal nights was on our anniversary so Lin got a chances to pull out all the stops and go all out glitter. The dress code clearly stated, "Evening gown, cocktail dress, or elegant pant suit for women." Unfortunately, about a third of the diners did not adhere to the policy and those wearing shorts and jeans were turned toward the Horizon Court buffet to join others who did not conform to formal evening attire.
The abundance of food on board was amazing. There was a wide selection of foods at the Horizon Court buffet. In the Bordeaux dining room each afternoon and evening on the menu was a choice of vegetarian, meat or fish. Hot or cold soup. Multiple salads and desserts galore. The value of the food (and tax) we consumed was nearly $4,000 and all included in the price of the cruise. Often we had choices that included lobster, escargot, shrimp, scallops and all kinds of seafood, pate, and other dishes that can drive up a dining tab. I asked for a recommendation between two entrees. The darling waiter said, "I will bring you both." I can't give high enough praise for the wait staff and their service. The number one priority was to please their customers. Not a single crew/staff member was unpleasant.
